Script wise I'm not sure this one knew what it wanted to be.
While I was watching I couldn't help but think about how better the animation could have been. epic fight scenes were mostly stills with shakey camera tricks or 80's style lasers for sword cuts. Characters are often distorted and what could have been The first few episodes have horrible lighting issues but seem to even out a bit after about episode three. The images in the anime.well, the animation really failed this one, even if I was entertained by the show. In the game, each army is designed by a different illustrator and you can sort of see that in the character design but the images in the game are BEAUTIFUL. The story and characters are pulled from that.
Keep in mind, this is based on an otome game.
